The V Rack
The V Rack is as fantastic looking as it is functional. The high gloss black finish on the rack contrasted with the aluminum trim really makes this rack pop visually. Besides being visually appealing, the rack is very well thought out and the manufacturer clearly put alot of thought into the details of this rack. There is much more to it than meets the eye. The rack I reviewed is a demo from a tavern & the rack has seen alot of use. One of the things that impressed me in this regard is how well the rack has held up. Everything from the finish to the mechanical operation to the square & levelness has really stood the test of time & use. It looks and functions as if it were brand new. This rack will stand the test of time.
Portability
One of the most innovative and exciting aspects of this rack is that it is portable. With the simple removal of a pin, the rack folds flat for easy transport. Using a house rack can be a very unpredictable experience and many are hard to get a good rack with. The portable nature of The V Rack provides an extremely convenient way to have a high quality rack with you wherever you go.

A tight rack
With a standard rack, many use the the bottom part of the triangle to press upon as leverage to get the balls nice and tight. If you look closely at the V Rack, you will see strategically placed notches for your fingers which allow you to get really nice leverage to press the balls together as do the cutouts in the aluminum frame. You are able to get all the leverage you need to get the balls nice and tight with this rack
Keeping the noise down
The inside of the rack has a felt lining that literally makes this rack just about silent to rack with. It also helps to prevent scratches on the balls. It is a little spongy, so the balls may tend to initially separate as you remove the rack. This is very easily overcome as you use the rack and it wont take long to get the hang of the nuance of pressing and gently releasing the balls & sliding the rack to avoid this. The felt lining is a very nice feature of the rack and rest assured, you will get a tight rack.
The “feet”
This rack has a unique ball and pin feature which give the rack the needed height and also provides a very smooth glide over the cloth as you are racking. The rack actually appears to be hovering over the cloth as you rack the balls.

Ease of lifting the rack off
There is a significant benefit to this rack that might not be apparent to some, and that is the ease of which this rack can be lifted from the balls. As a matter of fact, you don’t even lift the rack, you simply slide it forward. If you have ever been in a high pressure situation where you may have had a touch of the nerves, you know how difficult it can sometimes be to lift the rack off the balls without disrupting them. With this rack, you simply slide the rack forward and effortlessly remove it from the balls without the fear of disrupting them. Also, I have played with numerous players over the years with physical conditions that make lifting the rack off the balls nearly impossible. This rack is a complete game changer for these individuals and completely eliminates the stress associated with racking.

The V Rack is an innovative, high quality, well designed rack that will last you a lifetime. It’s diversity and portability are a game changer as far as racks go. It is worth noting that this is a high end product and as such comes with a high price tag, and it is possible that this might turn some would-be buyers away. However, this is offset by the fact that the value proposition is high in terms of quality and longevity.
