If you are looking for a way to keep your cloth looking great and in excellent playing condition, you want to take a look at this product.

Quick-Clean is an alternative to traditional brushing or vacuuming. It is a foam that you spray on the playing surface of your table, then wipe it off with a lint free or microfiber cloth. Quick-Clean is the only product I am aware of that actually has you apply some form of chemical based cleaner directly on the surface of your table. If you are like me, this might concern you. But fear not, I have been using it for years and it works really well.

Let’s take a look at this cleaning method in more detail.

Shake the can before using. There is liquid in the can, but it comes out as a foam. When you initially shake the can, you will feel the liquid sloshing, but after a few shakes, you can feel it foam up in the can.

Hold the can upside down and apply the foam to the table in a light mist moving the can back and forth across the table, covering the entire table surface and rails.

Wipe the foam off using a lint free cloth, microfiber cloth or microfiber brush. I prefer a microfiber brush, which is depicted in the following image.

Wipe the rails as well

That’s all there is to it. The cloth will be a bit damp, so I typically let it sit for about 1/2 hour before playing on it. To get a sense of how well the product works, take a look at the following before and after close ups of the table I cleaned in this review

Final Word

I really like this product and do recommend it as I think it does a better job than brushing. In my experience, brushing tends to push the chalk into the cloth whereas this draws the chalk dust out while cleaning the felt. The only downside is that I would not recommend playing on the table until the felt dries, about 1/2 hour. So if you are looking to get on the table right away, but need a quick clean up, you may want to use a brush for that. Some people have claimed that this product has stained their felt. I have been using this product for years and have never had an issue with staining of any kind when you apply the techniques I have outlined in this review.

I have no hesitation in recommending this product. It will keep your table looking and playing great. It is a good value as Quick-Clean sells for a very reasonable price and a can will last you for a while. The brush is usually available where Quick-Clean is sold, but any lint free or microfiber cloth will do.

I consider myself a student of the game and try to learn as much as I can from instructional books, instructional DVDs, DVDs of professional matches, professional coaching, practice and from the other players that I play with. While I play competitively in league and occasionally tournaments, I consider myself a casual player, relatively speaking. I am a skill level 7 in the APA, skill level 5 in TAP and play as a C+ in amateur open tournaments.
